Finally a tool to help you get all your media files together. ArcSoft PhotoImpression manages and organizes, no matter where your media are on your pc, and allows you to view it by date with the Calendar Browser function. Perhaps you prefer the windows type view, then you can use the Folder Browser or when by the date you copied the files to your pc can be viewed via the Import History Browser.
Additional features include stacking photos into virtual piles with the Stack feature. While fixing up those bad pictures is easy via the Easy Fix Wizard, which guides you through the easy process via step by step instructions. Interchanging elements between photos is enabled through the Clipboard utility. Famous Why? Organized!
ArcSoft PhotoImpression is a great program which simplifies the management of your media files. It has many great features and its interface is a friendly and easy-to-use one. Some of its features are listed below:
Media Browser helps you find and manage your files with ease and has a good import event. With Multiple Views you can view more files at once with formats in thumbnails, full-screen and in between. You can improve your photos with Easy Fix Wizard and can edit them with Advanced Editing which has manual editing tools. Picture Book is great for making photo books with great special effects. ArcSoft PhotoImpression also has a Media Player incorporated so you can now play your media files and not need to launch another application. There are also many other great features but we let you find them out.
ArcSoft PhotoImpression is purely a great software; we've rated it with a 5/5 rating but we also let you try it and share your opinion with us.
System Requirements:
Pentium III 450 processor or equivalent (PIII 800 recommended)
128 MB RAM (256MB recommended)
50 MB available hard disk space (100MB recommended)
800 × 600 pixels, 16 bit color monitor
Microsoft Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or higher (included on installer)
Optional: Internet connection (for program updates and email).
PhotoImpression 3 can be used under Vista ,just as well as under XP and Windows older than that .
Before installing PhotoImpression you first have to right-click on the "exe" file ,click "Properties" (bottom line) ,and go to the compatibility screen for all users .There you have to choose mode "Windows 98" ,and "use as an administrator" .
After having confirmed these two changes ,and having closed properties again ,you can install and use PhotoImpression 3 without any trouble ,just like it is working under XP or older Windows systems .
Hopefully the words used are correct ,our WIndows computer system isn't an English one .

I have to agree with Rose. I also enjoyed the photo editing features of PhotoImpression 3.0, which I can no longer use since I have upgraded to Vista. As previously stated, the 6.5 version of this software is not very user friendly and devoid of the the editing capability which drew me to Arcsoft in the first place. I am not satisfied with this at all.

I am a long times user of PhotoImpression 3.0 which is no longer available to buy and sadder yet is that 3.0 is not windows Vista compatible. What a shame. I am a partime photographer. I photograph weddings and other events that earns me some extra income.
I downloaded 6.5 gold "trial version". Unfortunately I do not find this program as user friendly. Thought it has some nice features, specifically the background blur tool, most features are standard in other photo editing software.
In photoImpression 3.0, you could "cut, copy,merger or layer aspects of another photo with (side by side) easy viewing of your progress..
In Photo Impression 6.5 Gold, you get this awkward little clipboard that takes too much time to figure out how to use.
If you are a person who takes photo editing and creativity to a higher level... with lots of layering with visual effects I can't recommend 6.5.
ArcSoft, please concider bringing back PhotoImpression 3.0.
