Baruwa 2.0.1 Details

FamousWhy Editor:
Baruwa is a web 2.0 mailScaner front-end which provides an easy to use interface for MailScanner installation. Baruwa is mainly used to do operations like spam learning, whitelisting and blacklisting addresses, releasing quarantined messages, monitoring the health of the services, and many more.

The program includes reporting functionality and results can be viewed as message lists or graphed as colorful interactive graphs.

You do not have to pay for Baruwa if you want it, because it is open source software, released under the GPLv2.

Some interesting features of Baruwa are:

• Interactive PDF reports and SVG graphs.
• Archiving logs for old messages
• AJAX support for most operations
• Multi user profiles
• SQLite backup which prevents data loss when MySQL is down
• Works both with or without Javascrip enabled

Baruwa can be installed on Centos / RHEL, on Fedora or on Ubuntu / Debian also.
Other batteries included:

Baruwa has custom django manage.py commands to make possible the scripting for tasks such as quarantine management and database management.
With the command "manage.py cleanquarantine", you are able to delete quarantined files older than "Quarantine_days_to_keep". "Quarantine_days_to_keep" is set in the settings.py file.
With "manage.py sendquarantinereports" you will generate a report on your email of the quarantined messages for the past 24 hours.

You can also delete records older than 2 months from the maillog table of the database with "manage.py dbclean".
Also, Baruwa will send you PDF reports by email if you write the command "manage.py sendpdfreports".

Why is Baruwa famous?

Baruwa is famous because it is great open source software that provides an easy to use interface for managing a MailScaner installation.
