Born February 20, 1966, in De Kalb, Illinois, Cynthia Ann Crawford began her modelling career when she was sixteen years old, after that Crawford's career took off.
Crawford was soon seen in Vogue, W, People, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Allure, and featured in runway and ad work for Gianni Versace, Escada, Revlon, Ink, Omega, Maybelline, Pepsi, Kay Jewellers and Clairol.
In 1988 Crawford posed nude for Playboy magazine, she was later in the magazine again in 1998, and the popularity of this shoot led to becoming the host for MTV's House of Style, which she continued to host for six years.
