Cognition is a small, application framework based on Python designed to be used to create local / network hosted web applications. It is built to be portable, and uses standard python libraries so that its platform independent as well (or at least aims to be). The idea is to centralize elements of the framework to provide ease of use with a robust set of tools.
It provides an interface to use customized cgi-servers, or a preconfigured lighttpd instance to serve the applications, either on the local machine, or the network depending on how you configure it - which is also centralized.
The configuration file is set so that all configuration modules are within the same file, making it simple for a developer to use a single configuration file for all libraries, scripts and binaries within an application.
