FamousWhy Editor: FTPix is a free software that provides an easy way to upload and share your pictures on internet. Select the pictures you want to share, upload them to your File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and after that you can share these pictures in many sizes and codes.
Using FTPix you can share your pictures by HTML, by the forum code or by the picture URL. If you are a neat person you can choose to tag your pictures and organize them into galleries.
Using FTPix is easy; the hard part is to set up the FTP server, because there is nothing you can do in FTPix without a FTP server. You can find a list of currently known as 'anonymous FTP sites' ftp-sites.org and you can use one from that list without having to register. Maybe you will need to use your email address, but usually you will not receive a confirmation email for registering on an anonymous FTP server.
After you set up the FTP server you can drag-and-drop your pictures from your browser or your desktop to the drop box he application window or the Dock icon. You may choose to hide the drop-box, or to move it away in some other corner, because its standard location in the upper left corner interferes with the window buttons (close, minimize and maximize) located on the left on Mac OS computers.
Upload your pictures to your FTP and you will get the forum/ html/ URL code. You can even get your pictures in thumbnails to fit your web pages or forum posts.
You will have an easy access to your pictures with the 'Picture list' and with the 'Galleries' features. Also the images can be played with the 'Slideshow'.
Another important feature is 'Take Screenshot' who captures an image of your desktop and uploads it to the FTP.
If you want all your computers to have the same pictures list, you can synchronize all of them on a FPT.
