GCStatistic is a free Mac application for Geocaching players; it will generate statistics out of your gpx file in form of HTML output for upload either at geocaching.com or as a standalone HTML file onto your webspace.
GPX, or GPS eXchange Format is an XML schema designed as a common GPS data format for software applications.
In order to get a statistic output from GCStatistic you first have to import a special gpx file. There are several ways to request/get this gpx file. GCStatistic can perform the request only if you have a premium geocaching account.
At the moment there are two ways of getting the gpx file:
- automated request (requires geocaching premium account). You have to login on geocaching.com, press 'Request gpx' button, wait until GCStatistic detects it and you are ready to go.
- Manual request (requires geocaching premium account). You have to log in on geocaching.com, navigate to the 'Build Pocket Queries', press 'Add to Queue' button, wait for an email, save the attached zip file and import the zip file into GCStatistic.
Requirements:
- a membership at geocaching.com
- a gpx file with your founds on geocaching.com
