FamousWhy Editor:
Hide Admin Panels is a plugin for the WordPress platform that scans your admin sidebar for menu items, builds an inventory with them and gives you the option to hide them from a specific user.
Maybe you will find this plugin useful in case you run a multi-author blog, and you don't want some of the editors to have access to all the webpage features. You can choose the users you want to limit and the menu options available for each of them.
Hide Admin Panels can hide almost everything you will find on a WordPress based webpage: posts, media, pages, comments, links, appearance, dashboard, plugins, users, tools and settings.
Please note that this is only an aesthetic effect, if your user has something installed in their browser that allows them to change the CSS of the page they will be able to unhide the menu item. This also does not prevent them from accessing the hidden menu sections directly by web address.
It is well known that many of the WordPress platform users are using the 'Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu' plugin, to have all admin links available in a neat horizontal CSS driven drop down menu. It's both easy and productive, in the same time.
Until now the 'Hide Admin Panels' wasn't compatible with this plugin, but from now on it is fully compatible. You just need to ensure you unhide any hidden panels before uploading.
Installation:
1. Upload the hide-admin-panels directory to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
