JSiteMap 0.9.4 Details

FamousWhy Editor:
JsiteMap was designed to be an open source java site map generator. To be precise, this program is a converter, because it converts HTML-only map to JavaScript, dynamic HTML map.

The program is not so hard to use, but you must have some computer knowledge though. If you decide to try it, you must download the program and extract the files, and then you will need to input some HTML code, because JSiteMap is only platform independent, but still needs that code. Once the HTML code is into JSiteMap, you can press "Dynamic" and then, the applet will elaborate the map for you, and you will find the required JavaScript code in the second text area.

Now, you have to select all the JavaScript code and copy it to the file jsitemap /sitemap / generatedcode.js. Now, you can see your first javascript-tree map if you open your browser jsitemap / sitemap / index.html.

JSiteMap applet can be used as a standalone application also. To do so, you require a JVM installed on your computer. To launch the application once you get the JVM is really simple, because you only have to click on the JsitemapWin icon found in the jsitemap folder.

JSiteMap has its own configuration file, but if you want, you can configure the applet by editing the file jsitemap / classes/ Jsitemap.html.
You can use JSiteMap on Windows systems, with Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla. It can also be used on Linux based systems.

Why is JSiteMap famous?

JSiteMap is famous because it allows all the users to easily create a dynamic HTML map from a HTML-only map. It is free and not hard to use, thus making it a great choice if you are ever in the need to create such site maps.
