OverSite is a tool for web designers and developers and for anyone who creates other types of software.

OverSite allows you to quickly set up the structure of your site, creating sections and subsections, along with their individual pages. It will draw out your site structure in graphical form. If you modify your structure, OverSite will update the graphical representation with your edits in real time.

OverSite contains five main screens:

- the Structure Editor panel;
- the Wireframe panel;
- the Notes panel;
- the Click-thru window;
- the Structure Map panel.

The Structure Editor is where you edit the overall structure of your site or application. The editor works as a typical "tree" hierarchy, allowing you to easily add, move and remove the various sections and pages that make up the hierarchy.

The Wireframe panel is where you create wireframes or screen mockups. Here, you can add components like buttons, text paragraphs, menus, shapes and backgrounds and many more.

The Map panel displays your site/application's structure as a graphical map. The window gives you control over the appearance of your map's graphical view, including font and sizes. OverSite eliminates the tedious work required to create such a graphical map, automatically creating it.

The Click-thru panel allows you to interact with your site structure, working as a Web browser, and providing links for you to click through the pages of your site. This will help give you a feel for how easy your site structure is to navigate, and will help illustrate the functionality of the components within your wireframes.

The Notes panel displays the wireframes that you've created in the Wireframe panel, in combination with any notes that you've added to elements within those wireframes. Notes can be added to individual components, as well as to pages as a whole.

In the Preference panel you will have access to the settings and preferences for various functional areas like:

- General;
- Wireframe;
- Click-thru;
- Map;
- Notes;
- Alerts;
- Advanced.

Along the main screens and features, OverSite offers additional features like:
- Colors – OverSite provides two controls for altering an element's colors: the quick color popup, and the color chooser dialog.
- Image Library - Among the components it offers for wireframing, OverSite offers an image component
- Text Variables - OverSite provides "dynamic text" functionality when editing the text of a component such a label or text field.
