PackageForge is a for the Symbian platform. It really simplifies the work of packaging files into Sys Files which can be later saved in a mobile phone which uses Symbian OS.

Anyone who wanted in the past to develop a program for Symbian knows that it was pretty hard to make an installable package. This program really helps a lot by taking all the application files, compiling and building them into a package.
PackageForge is not a free program but you can install it and try it for 30 days. After that trial period, you must activate the program if you still want to use it. Activation takes under a minute, so don't worry about that.

If you want to install the program though, you need a Symbian SDK installed before the installation of PackageForge.

The main feature of PackageForge is the one of creating packages. You just need to enter a name for the package, a location and target phone. The program will do the rest by creating a package.

When you create a package, you can select the languages the package supports.
When using the program, you have a lot of options. You can view and change meta-data, you can get an overview of all files in the package or you can view target file structure.

With PackageForge you can set the Build and Deployment settings, you can build for multiple targets, you can also build dialogs or logs.
The program is compatible with the packages created in Carbide.c and those created manually for makesis and signsis.

If you want to install PackageForge you need 30 MB HDD space, a minimum 16 bit video card with a 1024x768 display and Symbian 9.x SDK or newer installed on the computer.
