As mobile technology evolves, users are able to download, install and use more complex and powerful applications. Android OS is without any doubt, the most powerful and "malleable" mobile operating system. It supports various applications and tools and it allows developers to focus more on their software and less on compatibility problems.

Android OS is a great platform for mobile games. Usually, Android based games comes with a high quality graphic engine, with various options, with multiplayer support and with a great gaming experience. Proximity is one of these games.
By definition, Proximity is a strategy puzzle game for Android OS platforms. The idea behind it is quite simple: the player with the biggest army wins. However, "building" that army is not as easy as it sounds.

Winning in Proximity involves tactic, strategy and great thinking (the same qualities you need to win a chess game). As I have said above, Proximity is a strategy game and a turn based strategy game to be more accurate. Each player must wait for his turn to move. Only one move is allowed during a turn. To win (trust me, is not that easy), you need to think your movements in advance and never lose your powerful units (high points units). I find a little bit weird that usually, the AI gets the most powerful units even if these units should be random generated.

One thing that Proximity lacks is the "Undo" button which, from my point of view is really necessarily. Of course, this "Undo" button should be limited to one move only. Also, the user should be able to undo his move only during his current turn to not affect the element of strategy in Proximity. Because the playing table contains so many "small fields", it is almost impossible to place a unit and not hit somehow a nearby field. A simple mistake can cost you an entire game and this can be extremely frustrating.

Overall, Proximity is a great and addictive strategy game and I would strongly recommend it to every Android phone owner.
