FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Allan Shura: I plan to continue to upgrade and maintain File Data Pro in the future. Users may not be aware that their license does include future upgrades. I have an accounting based program in the works and have started a couple of new projects. I am also providing some coding example support on the neotreksoftware.com website.

FW Editor: What was the first application you created?
Allan Shura: The first application I created was a blackjack simulator game on the Timex Sinclair 1000 in the mid 1980's. In that era people thought I was way overboard in buying a 64K RAM pack, thinking this amount of RAM could never be filled.

FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Neotrek File Data Pro? What inspired you the most?
Allan Shura: I started writing Neotrek Data file pro in the summer of 2008. I put together some file functions that were lacking in available utilities at the time. I found direct file access and repair was usually omitted or limited to a few file types.

FW Editor: Do you plan to improve Neotrek File Data Pro in any way or are you focused on developing new software?
Allan Shura: I will continue to improve Neotrek File Data Pro, but am also continuing to develop a couple of new applications.

Allan Shura: I believe that the file construction functions are what distinguishes this application from other utilities from a developer or administrator perspective. I added the filtered update of folders, the file viewer and the file renamer so the software would also be useful to a broad range of everyday users.

FW Editor: What are the main advantages of using Neotrek File Data Pro over any other similar product?
Allan Shura: In the current version 2.51 the filtered by modification and direction updating is fast. The trend in the last while has been an significant increase in file sizes, so the searching for offset locations and views in a file easily is an advantage. Users can also count occourances of data or phrases in logfiles, xml, and text files if time is a consideration when they need that information or are working on a project that has mixed file types.
