FW Editor: Who can use introupe? Is introupe interesting for large companies only?
Adam Bent: Any company or school or charity or department can use introupe. Regardless of size.
FW Editor: What can introupe provide for a small to medium network?
Adam Bent: Small to medium sized businesses commonly have in-house ICT support. In most cases this may just be a single person. But they make their own decisions on what systems to trial, install, and purchase. With introupe the installation is easy, smooth, and quick. There are installation and configuration guides available, as well as online support. Should it be required, then a remote session can be arranged to sort out any issues or even to install the system for you. All at no extra cost. Alternatively, we can provide the system preinstalled on a server (of your choice). Therefore, all you would have to do is unpack the server and connect it to your network. It is as simple as that.
introupe is now aimed at businesses as well as education due to the generic features of most of the system. The medium sized businesses that have this system installed use it mainly as an aid to the in-house ICT support as well as a tool to aid in communication throughout the organisation. It is highly relied upon for: online materials, online forms (e.g. holiday requests), company information, company procedures, announcements, news, company calendar, booking meeting rooms and equipment, recording all equipment, reporting ICT problems, reporting building problems to the Premises Manager, and informing users whether servers and services (e.g. email) are available.
FW Editor: Is introupe accompanied by any security system? Are the data safe while using introupe?
Adam Bent: Every aspect of introupe is protected by permissions. Thte administrator can specify who has access to what, and whether they can edit or delete anything.
FW Editor: What can you tell us about de CMS (Content Management System) feature?
Adam Bent: Improve the accessibility of your organisations documents and materials by placing them in the CMS for users to access. For schools, these documents could be lesson materials, lesson objectives, homework, etc. For businesses, these documents could be company procedures, operations, admin forms, etc.
Create and manage content with relative ease of use by using the built-in online editor. This system allows non-technical users to make changes to existing content with little or no training.
FW Editor: There are two introupe versions: free and lite. Which are the main differences between these two versions?
Adam Bent: Only difference between these two versions is that the lite version does not include Apache Web Sever, PHP, or PostgreSQL.
