FW Editor: What inspired you the most in creating PDF ShapingUp?
Alain Perrez: Software handling PDF documents are very numerous. Most of them are built in the same mold : A files list, one or two functions, some options and a "Start" button. It's all ... My ten years of experience as IT manager in industry have proved that this does not meet the expectations of users. Therefore, i created Aplixio. So i wanted to innovate in this domain by creating a software that graphically list PDF documents and pages. This exclusive visual concept outstandingly facilitates their handling and editions. Moreover, unlike most of the competition, PDF ShapingUp offers a bunch of useful and precise features, has really well done documentation, and it even comes for a decent price ($39.95 for a single license)!

FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Alain Perrez: Currently, i am forced to hold two jobs because Aplixio is unfortunately not yet profitable. Ultimately, i want to concentrate solely on software development. To achieve this, i hope that PDF ShapingUp become a must-have for home and professionals users. But, in spite of a large number of downloadings and the many awards obtained, PDF ShapingUp is developed with losses by Aplixio. I draw benefit from this interview to recall that software piracy is theft, using PDF ShapingUp crack, password, serial numbers, registration codes, key generators is illegal and prevent future development of PDF ShapingUp!

FW Editor: Do you plan to improve PDF ShapingUp or are you focused on developing new software?
Alain Perrez: PDF ShapingUp is our main software and we want to constantly improve it. In parallel, we need to update "Invent Upshot": This software can perform agentless inventories of hardware and software for networked computers.

FW Editor: What new features do you plan to add to PDF ShapingUp with the next updates?
Alain Perrez: I plan to add a lot of good things like Convert texts and images to PDF, Form fields manager, Bookmarks manager, ... but, i can't say too much to keep one step ahead of the competition! I must admit that all this depends on the number of purchased licenses so, please, support us ...

FW Editor: Is there anything you would like to change in PDF ShapingUp? Why?
Alain Perrez: Aplixio come from France and i known that PDF ShapingUp is not always correctly translated. I apologize for this! Whatever some reviews, believe me, it is not so easy to do translations of more than 1000 lines of text in a foreign language. The users who wish to propose better translations are welcome ...

FW Editor: How can you characterize PDF ShapingUp in a single word? Why?
Alain Perrez: Simply "All-In-One visual PDF toolkit" because PDF ShapingUp incorporates all the features necessary for handle, process and edit your PDF files in a user-friendly interface.

FW Editor: Are you planning to create a version for operating systems other than Windows?
Alain Perrez: This is not planned at this time. The development of PDF ShapingUp for other operating systems depends on the success of the Windows version.
