FW Editor: What are you plans for the near future?
: Simply to keep improving SliderDock.
I am also working on a much bigger project now but in order to do it i have to keep learning a lot.
While learning how to make this project, I often find that what I learn can be used within SliderDock too.
FW Editor: What inspired you the most in creating SliderDock application?
: Many users already noticed, SliderDock was inspired by the menu from the video game dot hack //GU.
I found that having the icons moving give a lot more life to an otherwise very static desktop.
FW Editor: Which is the greatest feature of SliderDock?
: I think the greatest feature is the ability to launch an application without a single hand movement when using the mouse besides having to unhide SliderDock.
I intend to push this further by adding support to the extra mouse buttons that some mouse have to use as a "unhide" shortcut.
FW Editor: What features do you plan to add in the next updates? How about adding an option that could let the users to see all the rings that they created?
: The next update will add a naming system to the rings which also allow me to add a right click menu for selecting the ring to switch to.
I am also working on improving the option window so that instead of having a slider to drag down when there are too many options, the window will instead automatically resize itself to show everything at once.
In a future release,I will add a window that will allow to see and reorganize the rings and possibly the icons within them too but this will not be for the next release.
FW Editor: What makes SliderDock better than other application launcher?
: SliderDock gives a different experience to the user.
All the other docks reorganize the icons then the user have to reach one of them to launch an application.
SliderDock do the opposite. It animates the icons so that they reach you instead.
FW Editor: Are you accepting user created Themes?
: yes, I created a section in the forum where users are welcome to post their custom themes.
FW Editor: Are you offering customer support for SliderDock users?
: Any problem can be reported in the "bug" section of the forum or users can also contact me directly through email.
FW Editor: Is there any message you would like to send to the SliderDock users?
: Feedback are always welcome.
Please keep supporting SliderDock as I will continue to add more features to it in the future.
