FW Editor: Hello, can you please tell us more about yourself? How many are you in the team that developed Shattered Origins: Guardians of Unity?
Ede Tarsoly: There are ten of us in the team of Elder_Games, each of us were working on this game to make it happen. Elder_Games has always kept in mind that these games are made for an audience, and therefore we tried our best to talk to the community, listen to their feedback, and improve / modify the game based on their responses.
FW Editor: Are you experienced developers? What other programs have you developed until now?
Ede Tarsoly: We are an Indie team, and this is our second project. The first one, Arcan, is available for free at http://www.indiedb.com/games/arcan/downloads/arcan-v-1619-release .
FW Editor: What can you tell us about this game? How did you come up with the idea for it?
Ede Tarsoly: Shattered Origins: Guardians of Unity is like a dream come true for all of us. All of our members either wanted to work on a sci-fi like this, or wanted to work on this specific game for a long time. It's been planned for years, with almost too much attention to each detail. For instance, we ended up rewriting the story like five times throughout the years. The GUI was also a tough one, our 2D artists still have some nightmares about that!
FW Editor: At the moment the game is still under development. Can you tell us an estimated time, when do you think this game will be fully released?
Ede Tarsoly: We think it will be out in the first half of this year, if all goes well.
FW Editor: At the moment a user can play your game only if it has a Windows Vista or 7 installed. Are you planning to add more portability in the future and make it work on other operating systems as well?
Ede Tarsoly: Windows XP SP3 should do fine as well. We don't plan to support other operating systems at the moment.
FW Editor: What age group are you planning to hit with this game? Who do you think will play this game the most?
Ede Tarsoly: We think everyone can play this, it is more dependant on a way of thinking than age, you need to be able to accept sci-fi unconditionally, as well as love outer space / space fights. Fans of Star Wars have an advantage :)
FW Editor: Do you want to share with our readers some ideas of yours for the future? Or do you want to make a shoutout someone?
Ede Tarsoly: Well, I'd like to thank for the wonderful team we put together for this game, after Arcan I didn't think we can pull this off, so thank you guys, without you this couldn't exist!
