FW Editor: Why did you feel the need to develop such a program? To what people is this program intended mainly?
Lior Hipsh: Many people find it slow and even annoying to type text in word processer tools like Office. The typing work waste lots of time invested in the word editing rather than in the content itself. Automatic completion fails mostly since the words that common tools and dictionaries provides will not fits to the word the user needs. Without accuracy the completion cannot be used. Accurate prediction of the next word is the key. By analyses the user own personal texts, current document in work, Text Complete provide this accurate and predicts the word the user needs. It actually calculates the context of the current text being edited and help with the most relevant word. In additional to context of the text, the tool also uses common dictionary and grammar rules which are not personal and complete a suggested list when no user personal words are matched.
FW Editor: How long have you been a developer? Can you tell us some words about your other work too?
Lior Hipsh: I'm a system software architect, working in the software industry for about 18 years. I have several expertises among them, text analysis algorithms, which are most relevant in this Text Complete.
FW Editor: How many documents are needed for a good indexing? More documents, better results, yes?
Lior Hipsh: Text Complete needs about 10-30 files from the user personal documents. Along the time, the set of documents will be changed for the user, reflecting the fact that the text context and areas of interest of the user are changing.
FW Editor: Are you planning to make this program portable so it can work on other operating systems as well? Not everybody is Windows user after all.
Lior Hipsh: Yes. This is the plan for the next major version. As tablets become major player in the computers market, they will become a mobile solution also for document writers, which will need the capability of work prediction, in emails and mainly in documents.
FW Editor: Why make software for free? Planning to charge on this program when it grows? Or maybe this is just a teaser for other programs that you currently work?
Lior Hipsh: All options are correct. I just released new version - 1.5.2, which is 1 month try and the requires one time small fee. You can download it from http://www.textcomplete.com/index_files/Page604.htm
FW Editor: How many resources does this program use? Do we need a good computer to use it, or we can use it on older computers also?
Lior Hipsh: Not too much resources. An old machine will fit. The new version is very optimized with performance and work well also on 5 years old machines.
