Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: Destiny Online, based on eastern mythology, is a free-to-play well-designed MMORPG featuring beautiful 2-dimensional graphics, exotic weapons, powerful skills, loyal pets, versatile mounts, fierce PK, Tribal War and online romance etc. Destiny Online world centers on Golden Plume City where you can find most of quest and event NPCs. Outside the city are the training maps and event maps of exotic sceneries like forests, volcanoes, swamps and snowfield. We’ve added more areas over the past 3 years, such as Christmas Town and Sunset City.

FW Editor: Is there any 'jobs' system in Destiny Online? Can a player become an alchemist or a blacksmith for example?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: There is no specific job system in Destiny Online but we have the equivalent Crafting system which serves the same function, producing Weapon, Armor, Shoe, Necklace, Ring and Potions. Players can craft any equipment of the above kind with the help of Life Skill NPCs, i.e., Alchemist, Blacksmith, Pharmacist and Tailor, once they have collected the required materials. This gives players more convenience and flexibility over equipment crafting, other than repeating the same process over and over again.

FW Editor: If a player spends time online in Destiny Online, he will receive some special coins, coins that can be used to purchase items from Items Market. Can you tell us more about this system?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: As we all know, most free-to-play MMO games have the integrated cash store where premium items and services are sold in real-life money. In Destiny Online, our players can earn Gold points, the cash store currency, by simply playing the game. We offer free Gold for a certain amount of time the players have been online so everybody get a chance to enjoy the cool mall items.

FW Editor: Is there any goal in Destiny Online? Is there any 'final boss' to beat or a quest chain to complete?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: Yes, there is a quest chain to complete. Destiny Online is based on eastern mythology, that in ancient times, there were 10 suns in the sky instead of one, nine of which turned into magic plumes after being shot down by a mythological archery. So the main quest of the game is to find the legendary plumes. The folklore of the Destiny World and the Plumes will reveal themselves to the players as their levels upgrades. The max level is 150, however, we stop at Level 145 at the moment. So we will keep it a secret on how the story will end until the level cap is raised to 150. Besides main quests, players can do Class Quests, Tribal Quests, IQ Test, fun events on a regular basis to free them from boring grinding.

FW Editor: How does the 'Master-> Apprentice' system work? What are the advantages of being a Master and an Apprentice?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: In the world of Destiny Online, you can establish a Master-Apprentice relationship with other players. Thus, new players can get help from the experienced, while the experienced can benefit from helping the new players. For masters, they can earn EXP every time their apprentices kill a mob or upgrade in level; for apprentices, they can get Shared Attack from the masters which will be of great help in training.

FW Editor: There are 5 classes in Destiny Online. Are these classes perfectly balanced?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: The 5 classes are Warrior, Swordman, Taoist, Mage and Priest, each has their own advantages and shortcomings. For example, adept at ranged magic attack, Mage may be fast in leveling but somewhat vulnerable in player-vs-player combat for the absence of healing skills and low; Priest, on the other hand, masters the healing skills from the very beginning but is difficult to level sololy at the primary stage of the game. So the key to dominate the Destiny world is teamwork, which is exactly the spirit of online games.

FW Editor: Can you tell us more about the PvP system from Destiny Online?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: Destiny Online implements open PvP where you can challenge other players and enjoy fierce exciting combat, and Dueling system for friendly PK in Arena, Tribal War (aka Guild War), Inter-server PK Tournament where elites of different servers can get together to fight for the glory of their servers. Red-name players, whose PK value exceed a certain number will receive severe penalties to prevent excessive killing.

FW Editor: Destiny Online receives constant updates and new patches. What shall we expect from the next update?
Dorothy Chen, Product Manager of Destiny Online: The next important update will be the highly-anticipated Equipment Stats Conversion system. We’ve been preparing it for the last few months. As the name indicates, the new system can convert the unwanted stats of the equipment into somewhat more favorable ones. Before that, there may be some small updates and patches to celebrate the upcoming holidays such as Valentine’s Day and Easter Day, and to continuously enrich our players’ wardrobe with cute costumes and accessories of the avatar system that we highly boast.
