FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives for the near future?
Gal Ratner: We recently made an investment in social media and community integration software and we have plans to have the community play a dominant role in the support and brand management and recognition of our products and services.

FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Bulk Image Resizer? What inspired you the most? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
Gal Ratner: Just like any other product, we started writing Bulk Image Resizer because we needed it. We didn’t do any market research. We as developers had a problem and we searched for a solution. We figured, if we have this problem, other developers have probably encountered it in the past too and didn’t have a solution, so let’s solve it.

FW Editor: How many images can be resized at once? Is there any limit to that?
Gal Ratner: Well that depends on the size of the box the software is running on. Bulk Image Resizer is built on top of JAVA and over the years JAVA became much faster and more memory efficient. The most we tried was 12,000 images. It handled it without any problem.

FW Editor: Do you plan to improve Bulk Image Resizer in the future? If yes, how are you going to do that? What shall we expect from the
Gal Ratner: There are plans to improve the UI for sure. We are waiting for JAVA FX to catch up so we can utilize it to build a much slicker user interface.

FW Editor: What makes Bulk Image Resizer better than other similar software?
Gal Ratner: I think the fact we think about use cases. Who is going to use it and what do they want to accomplish. Bulk Image Resizer is much easier to use and understand than any other competitor’s product. As a result, you end up spending less time making the software do what you need it to.

FW Editor: Bulk Image Resizer is a great application and personally I love it. However, there are still many people who prefer to use similar software. What can you tell to convince them that Bulk Image Resizer is better?
Gal Ratner: All I can say is: give the demo version a try. It’s free and has no time limitation, and if you like it you can always upgrade.

FW Editor: What is the most important feature of Bulk Image Resizer? What makes this software special?
Gal Ratner: I like the fact that it generates thumbnail galleries on the fly. Lots of designers love that. They can just point and click to get HTML pages containing all of their work.

FW Editor: Do you offer any special promotions for your customers? (discount for multiple purchased licenses, free customer support service, free updates, etc)
Gal Ratner: With a price tag of under ten USD, this is definitely the best bargain in the software market. Most of our competitors are more than twice that and carry fewer features.
