FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for IrfanView? What inspired you the most?
Irfan: I started 1995/96 during my studies.
The inspiration was: I had many images on my disk and wanted an easy and simple viewer to watch and delete images.
I first created a simple JPG viewer ... my friends were very happy with it and sent suggestions for new formats and features.
This is how IrfanView started.
FW Editor: Did you ever think IrfanView will become so famous?
Irfan: No, I never had any plans or thoughts like this, it just happened :-)
FW Editor: What are the upcoming improvements of this wonderful piece of software?
Irfan: I never know this exactly. The TODO list is pretty endless, users always wants new things, I have my own wishes, so everything needs the right time to be done.
It makes no sense to me to just add and add new features and make a monster program, like many developers do.
FW Editor: Do you plan to make it work on the internet as well on desktop computers?
Irfan: Deskop primary, everything else is too much work.
FW Editor: Do you have in plan to develop other software programs?
Irfan: Yes, sometimes, but I have usually no time for such things ;-)
