FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
John Lyratzakis: My plans and objectives in the near future are to continue to make updates on Sherlock, Wave, Vault and Dynamo, in order for users to be able to have a better experience using them.
FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Dynamo? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
John Lyratzakis: I started writing the code for Dynamo in C++ about a year ago. At that time, Dynamo was a console application, with no graphical environment, whose sole purpose was to prove a concept - the concept that a computer program could tell you which computer is the best for you. Right now, i am more focused on optimizing the already released programs, but if there is a new idea on the table, i would be happy to turn it into a new application!
FW Editor: Dynamo can show accurate advices based on math calculations. Can you tell us more about that?
John Lyratzakis: In order for Dynamo to be able to accurately compute which computer is the best for your needs, it creates two scores for every computer: one score that concerns performance, and another one concerning mobility. It then compares these two scores, taking other factors under consideration, in order to output the result - the computer that is the right one for your purposes.
FW Editor: Do you plan to improve or change Dynamo in any way? If yes, how are you going to do that?
John Lyratzakis: I've recently released the second version of Dynamo, in which the only difference is in the interface. Having the Banditsoft blue background and different colors to indicate and point out information, Dynamo is even more user-friendly. I don't have any plans regarding other improvements yet, though.
FW Editor: Dynamo is a unique concept. What inspired you in developing such a software?
John Lyratzakis: The purpose of technology - creating things that will make our lives easier and potentially better is the reason why i made Dynamo.
FW Editor: What are the advantages of using Dynamo?
John Lyratzakis: An advantage of using Dynamo is that we can all, regardless of knowledge of computers, find out which computer is the most suitable for us. We can, therefore make the right decision, based on entirely objective criteria. Another advantage is that it is a free application, which everyone can use for as long as they want.
FW Editor: What is your favorite Dynamo feature and why?
John Lyratzakis: My favourite feature of Dynamo is that of being able to compare computers with different types of processors, so that people can compare computers with different processors without knowing or having to learn anything about them.
FW Editor: Can you tell us more about this feature? Why it is so important? Is Dynamo same without it?
John Lyratzakis: This feature is very important since people will often have to compare computers with different processors (i3,i5,i7,core 2 duo, etc). Since most people don't want to learn everything about all processors, but just want to buy the best computer, this feature enables everyone to do so. Dynamo would certainly not be the same without it, because its features would be very limited and wouldn't allow every user to accomplish their goals.
