FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Mike Yerou: Release a newer version of Mobile Media Converter with more focus on the user interface and how to make user's life easier by predicting and remembering what the user wants.
FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Mobile Media Converter? What inspired you the most?
Mike Yerou: I started it four years ago, mainly to replace the aging Mobile AMR converter and Mobile 3GP converter, which were used to convert audio and video to AMR and 3GP formats for mobile devices. I got inspired by the power of the open-source ffmpeg project that gave you the ability to convert from and to whatever media format you wanted, fast and free!
FW Editor: Mobile Media Converter has quite a strong competition. What makes Mobile Media Converter better than similar application?
Mike Yerou: The ability to add and remove profiles from the Internet about any device or format you want! And of course the simplicity and user-friendliness of MMC makes it one of the finest free media converters available out there.
FW Editor: Can you tell us more about the most important features and tools available in Mobile Media Converter?
Mike Yerou: The ability to trim a clip so you can convert only the part you want. You can make a ringtone or even convert only a part of a movie you want! Also, you can crop a clip to remove the up and down black bar of any wide screen video. Finally, you can embed subtitles on the video so you can watch them on your mobile device!
FW Editor: What is your favorite Mobile Media Converter feature and why?
Mike Yerou: The ability to add and remove media profiles!
FW Editor: Do you plan to improve or change or improve Mobile Media Converter in any way? If yes, how are you going to do that?
Mike Yerou: We will focus not only on portable devices anymore but on desktop audio and video formats.
FW Editor: How can you characterize Mobile Media Converter in a single word? Why?
Mike Yerou: Simple.
