FW Editor: We had understood that Notepad X history has begun in 2008. Can you tell us more about Notepad X is evolution since then?
Xenophon Spatharidis: Since then Notepad X improved significantly, It's developed over and over again becoming even better each time, also it was rewritten with C# language. Sometimes I check the old version of the application and I try to figure out what I was thinking ?!

FW Editor: What determinate you to develop a software like Notepad X? Those who are still using Notepad are looking with reticence when is about a replacement for it.
Xenophon Spatharidis: I like the simplicity of the windows Notepad, but i wanted something more user-friendly with a lot of customization possibilities. Notepad X can be simple like windows notepad, it depends on the user.

FW Editor: Which document extensions are supported by Notepad X?
Xenophon Spatharidis: The application supports all the plain text document types, soon an plugin for rich text documents will be available.

FW Editor: It is possible to add graphs or images into a Notepad X document
Xenophon Spatharidis: Not yet, it depends on the text editor control, i plan an update for the application and it will be possible to use multiple text editors, like the rich text editor. So you can use an editor like RTF to add images into a document.

FW Editor: Notepad X supports various plug-ins, extensions, icon packs and toolbars. From where can a user download all these extensions?
Xenophon Spatharidis: Users can download all the plug-ins, icon packs, toolbars and highlighters files from the Download page at Notepad X site. Also users and can download all this from the Download Tab at Options dialog.

FW Editor: What are your plans for the future with Notepad X? Do you plan to improve the current software or start working on a completely new text editor?
Xenophon Spatharidis: Still i m trying to improve the current application. But in the future I want to redesign the application. Also I want to make the application platform independent.
