FW Editor: Oggtec is one of the most active organizations in software developing nowadays. Where do you find your motivation?
Oggtec: We just want the best for our end-users and so that means investing a lot of time into our products and our website. Our motivation is just by wanting to improve and hoping that more people will enjoy using our products.
FW Editor: Dequals is not yet what you wanted. When do you plan to add the new features you promised?
Oggtec: We are hoping to make it live up to it's slogan "the calculator reinvented" by adding more scientific features and calculators for everyday tasks, such as Speed Distance Time; currency conversion; temperature conversion; BMI.
FW Editor: Will the requirements for the futures Dequals change? (Dequals now needs .Net Framework 4)
Oggtec: We are now trying to make sure that Dequals will automatically install any additional software it needs to save users having to download and install them separately. However, we are going to continue to use .NET Framework 4 as it has many exciting opportunities.
FW Editor: Now, Dequals and also TicKik, some other software of yours are free. Will you charge people for using them in the future?
Oggtec: No, we think that people have to pay for far too much, and nobodies pockets are bulging right now. We accept donations via PayPal but we think that software should be free.
FW Editor: Do you plan to make Dequals available on Mac too?
Oggtec: Hopefully, but probably not in the foreseeable future, we will try to get there one day!
FW Editor: Shall we expect any new surprises in the near future from Oggtec?
Oggtec: As far as Dequals is concerned that will be out of beta sometime in 2011. We have also acquired fgtg.net which was an old software publisher that released their very own version of Internet Explorer, we shall be releasing that also in 2011 but as for what is on it, that can be a surprise for now!
