FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Paul Fauchon: I just finished the Android version of FTPix (already available on the market) and will maintain these two versions of FTPix desktop and mobile. I'm also working on another coming project but more web based than native software.
FW Editor: What was your inspiration behind developing FTPix?
Paul Fauchon: Three years ago, I was looking for a software that do what FTPix does, but I couldn't find anything that fits my needs, so I did it myself.
FW Editor: Why did you choose to create FTPix on the newest Java version?
Paul Fauchon: The newest version of Java (1.6) brings many very useful tools like opening the user's default browser when opening a link without too much work.
FW Editor: Do you plan to optimize the current version of FTPix?
Paul Fauchon: I'm optimizing it as much as I can.
FW Editor: What is the most important feature that can be found in FTPix?
Paul Fauchon: The most important is the picture uploading, that also create thumbnails of it to display in forums or web pages.
FW Editor: Do you plan to release a FTPix version for other operating systems other than Windows and Mac OS?
Paul Fauchon: FTPix is already available on Mac OS, Windows and Linux, or actually any operating system that support Java desktop. An android version is recently released, so now, why not looking at an iOS version!
FW Editor: What bugs have you fixed with the latest release?
Paul Fauchon: I fixed some major issues in the synchronization process.
FW Editor: Do you have any message for FTPix users?
Paul Fauchon: Even though there are not many users as this software is quite specific and not every one needs it, I'm really happy for the cheers I receive from my few fans :) So to make it simple: Thanks you guys!
