FW Editor: What do you plan to create in the near future?
David De Groot: I'm currently working on different new applications, mainly in .Net, so sooner or later you can expect some new tools. Nothing in particular on my planning list though, just practicing on a few things, hope something good will emerge.
FW Editor: Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
David De Groot: It is a combination of the two. I'm usually working on new things in phases. When I need a break from it I tend to focus on optimizing current software, or implement new features.
FW Editor: What inspired you the most in creating PIXresizer?
David De Groot: At the time of development there was a real demand for a dead easy to use tool like PIXresizer, and I think there still is. Just a simple tool that does what it needs to do, in a plain, straightforward way.
FW Editor: Which is the strongest PIXresizer feature?
David De Groot: Its simplicity. Anyone can use it.
FW Editor: Why is PIXresizer better than other similar applications?
David De Groot: I wouldn't call it better but the 'keep it simple' approach stands out while at the same time it does have advanced features inside.
FW Editor: Can PIXresizer resize pictures over 100MP? Is there an upper limit?
David De Groot: There are no limits, it will just take longer to finish the task :-)
FW Editor: Is there any full customer support service for PIXresizer?
David De Groot: No, this is a hobby, and I can spare just my free time on it. having said that, I do welcome and answer all mails, and if I can help solving a problem I certainly will.
FW Editor: To end with, is there any message you would like to send to the users?
David De Groot: Yes, I would like to say thanks for those who visited my homepage. In the last few years, I received lots of feedback from users, some help from translators, and recommendations from websites and magazines. But it's not all about feedback: I'm sure that many people pay a visit as a silent way of thanking me for writing the program and for making it freeware. And that is greatly appreciated!
