FW Editor: Desktop Calendar was developed to be accessible to both inexperienced and advanced users. Can you explain that?
Pawel Idzikowski: Most of the functionality of Desktop Calendar can be achieved with its default settings - it's good for newbies. However there is possibility to customize these settings what more experienced users can do.
FW Editor: Which particular feature differences Desktop Calendar from any other similar application?
Pawel Idzikowski: There are three main features: (1) It can remind you up to several months ahead about your task, (2) all urgent tasks are presented on a compact list every time the computer starts, (3) there is no need to input start/end time for a task
FW Editor: Desktop Calendar is not your only software. Can you tell us a few things about your portfolio? From all your applications, which is your favorite one?
Pawel Idzikowski: One of my favorites is ConFavor - Context Menu Favorites. It integrates with Windows Explorer. With its context menu I can access my important folders and files within a second from any place in my computer. It greatly simplifies access especially for deeply nested folders and files.
FW Editor: It is possible to synchronize Desktop Calendar with other similar applications? It is possible to synchronize Desktop Calendar with a mobile phone?
Pawel Idzikowski: There is only possibility to access and modify the same database file in a local network. Every file change is noticed by Desktop Calendar which actualizes its display. Actually I'm working on SkyReminder which can use its global database as a web service. In such a way, there is possibility to manage tasks from any place in the world.
FW Editor: Desktop Calendar comes with a powerful reminding feature (up to several months ahead). How is that useful?
Pawel Idzikowski: It's very useful to quit some long term contracts as a cellular phone contract or insurance policy.
FW Editor: Is there anything else you would like to add about Desktop Calendar?
Pawel Idzikowski: Desktop Calendar works flawlessly as well on 32- and on 64-bit operating systems. It's really very easy to use, even without reading the manual.
