FW Editor: For SafeWallet, you have decided to use the AES 256 encryption. Why this decision?
Amit Regev: AES 256bit is the gold standard in cryptography today and is 100% secure. This is the same standard used by government agencies across the world to store details labels as top secret. Using AES 256bit alone isn't safe enough, but when combined with a few additional standard technologies a robust encryption system is achieved.
FW Editor: How safe SafeWallet really is? It is possible to break through its protection without the right password?
Amit Regev: No. The only way to read data encrypted with SafeWallet is by knowing the password. Therefore, our only advice for our users is: Choose a strong master password that no one can guess. In the world we live today, with so many online accounts and logins that each of us have, SafeWallet brings the best secure way to store all this information and have carry this information with you securely.
FW Editor: It is possible to synchronize SafeWallet from PC with SafeWallet from other device (mobile phone for instance)?
Amit Regev: Yes! SafeWallet is available today for PC: Windows and Mac, and for mobile: Android, BlackBerry, iPhone/iPod Touch and S60. New mobile versions for iPad and webOS will be announced shortly. Using SafeWallet you can sync all of your passwords between any of your machines using either local sync, or, optional cloud sync! The cloud syncing option is optional, so local sync is the default syncing method with SafeWallet.
FW Editor: What are your plans for the future for SafeWallet?
Amit Regev: We've got some great things coming ahead! Currently, we are glad to announce SafeWallet for iPad and webOS new releases, arriving both in the first Q of 2011. At the same time, we're working on a few additional exciting features and developments and we'll be announcing more details about it in the upcoming weeks!
FW Editor: PhoneWeaver is another interesting application you have developed. Can you tell us a few things about this software too?
Amit Regev: Sure thing! We're all using Smartphone these days, and yet we still need to manually control our phone during the day. It is reasonable to expect these powerful devices to automatically adjust to our life style, and this is exactly what PhoneWeaver is all about! PhoneWeaver is a profile manager on steroids. Using PhoneWeaver users can control every part of their phone (sounds, alarms, notifications, activate apps, radios and more), based on various trigger types. The trigger types include: time, agenda, connection status and even location.
Using triggers users can perform various actions automatically with their phone, getting their phone to adjust and act according to their life style. For example, with PhoneWeaver you can create automatic profile that will silent your pone during the night, and activate the sound back again each morning. You can activate the GPS and maps application each time you enter the car, and even silent your phone each time you go to the movies! We invite all users to check it out – I’m sure you’ll love it!
