FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Ahmed Osama: Smart PC Utilities will continue to develop reliable, safe and open source software for Windows users to help them optimize, secure and customize their PCs easily and safely.

FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Vista Services Optimizer? What inspired you the most? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
Ahmed Osama: Vista Services Optimizer project started in 2008, the software development team wanted to provide Vista users - who suffered from poor performance and stability - with easy to use, robust and open source tool that could make them happy by tweaking Windows Vista for best performance, security and stability. Smart PC Utilities will continue to support Vista Services Optimizer with new features and patches through the next releases, and in the same time, Smart PC Utilities develops new robust tools that could enhance Windows users experience in different aspects. We started a new project named "Blue Shield" which is an open source Windows Manager and Optimizer and we announce exclusively on FAMOUSWHY.com a new project named "Game Fire" that will be able to enhance gamers experiences running Windows XP, Vista and 7 by tweaking various aspects of Windows on fly without the need to reboot, giving a high performance PC that could run most of modern PC games smoothly. FW Editor: Most of the similar products are extremely expensive. Why have you decided to release Vista Services Optimizer as a freeware?
Ahmed Osama: Actually, Vista Services Optimizer is not a freeware, it's a FREE software. This means that, the user not only can use Vista Services Optimizer free of charge, but also could obtain the source code, modify it and share the changes with the world under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation. We think that Windows users deserve a reliable, safe and open source utility that could make their life easier.

FW Editor: Do you plan to improve or change Vista Services Optimizer in any way? If yes, how are you going to do that?
Ahmed Osama: Through nine releases, Vista Services Optimizer became the most powerful Windows services optimizer and manager, we will continue to make it more powerful and flexible with new features and patches. The next release of Vista Services Optimizer will be a major release, Yes good bye Vista Services Optimizer 1.x. In this major release, the development team are focusing on software flexibility and user experience. The user will have more control on the various parts of the program interface, Vista Services Optimizer will optimize more Windows services, Gaming Mode will be a SUPER gaming mode that could not only optimize services, but also defrag memory, optimize scheduled tasks and defrag games files. FW Editor: What is your favorite Vista Services Optimizer tool and why?
Ahmed Osama: The most powerful tool in Vista Services Optimizer is the Manual TuneUp, as it enables both beginners and advanced users to customize how Vista Services Optimizer tweaks Windows services. Manual TuneUp provides you with an access to many of Windows services settings that could be optimized for better performance and security, all of that in a simple way without getting involved with Windows services names, dependencies and functions.

FW Editor: Can you tell us more about this tool? Why it is so important? Is Vista Services Optimizer the same without it?
Ahmed Osama: Manual TuneUp feature gives advanced users more control on Windows services, enabling them to adjust each Windows service setting with easy to understand and well organized options. Without Manual TuneUp, Vista Services Optimizer will not be a professional tool and won't be suitable for advanced users who need more control on Windows services settings.
