FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives for the near future?
Garth Catterall-Heart: We're in the process of partnering with WebReserv.com so our users can have online booking capabilities, plus all the great backend features of Reservation Tracker. Users will be able to upload existing reservations and download new reservations from WebReserv.com
FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for Rental Property Tracker Plus? What inspired you the most? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
Garth Catterall-Heart: In 2003 I realized there were no rental management programs for the Mac, and few for Windows, and released Rental Property Tracker Plus. In 2004 I released Vacation Rental Tracker Plus, which is for short term rentals. I have recently released two new products, Commercial Rental Tracker Plus and Resort Rental Tracker Plus, which combines both long term and short term rentals. I am currently focused on product improvements but may add additional products in the future.
FW Editor: From your point of view, which is the strongest Rental Property Tracker Plus feature? Why?
Garth Catterall-Heart: Rental Property Tracker Plus offers several features that no other rental property management software does, including Contact Tracker (which can create Form letters), Schedule Tracker (for any task or appointment), Task Tracker (an electronic To Do list generator), and the Universal Calculator (which computes numbers, times, dates, currency, measurements, etc.). Work Order Tracker and Asset Tracker have also been recently added to the product.
FW Editor: Why is Rental Property Tracker Plus better than other similar applications? What makes it so special? What is its biggest advantage?
Garth Catterall-Heart: Rental Property Tracker Plus is the most complete rental management software in its class. It is a desktop application, so it is more secure and much faster than any web application. It is affordably priced. You pay a one time charge rather than a monthly charge forever. There is no limit to the number of units, tenants or owners.
FW Editor: Rental Property Tracker Plus is a great application and personally I love it. However, there are still many people who prefer to use similar software. What can you tell to convince them that Rental Property Tracker Plus is better?
Garth Catterall-Heart: Rental Property Tracker Plus is not for everyone, but you can try it out free for ten days, and see that it offers more than your current software, and is easier to use too.
