FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Takayuki Sato: It is to make 'xslbook' and 'xslui', which are products of sub project of xslet project as 'xsldo', more practical. These products are using xsldo library.

FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for xslet? What inspired you the most? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
Takayuki Sato: It is my first work that I develops the prototype of 'xslbook' in 2007, which is to transform source XML files into an HTML document with XSLT task of Apache Ant. Then I knew that major Web browsers contain XSLT engines, I re-created it to run on Web browsers, and released it to the public in 2008. 'xsldo' was developed in '2010' with the purpose that other XSLT applications can use data operating functions of `xslbook'. I have some plans to develop new products as sub projects of xslet, and I have ideas to make existing products more practical, too.

FW Editor: What shall we expect from xslet in the future?
Takayuki Sato: The goal for the future of xslet is to make a lot "simple" things possible with XML, and cast it into shape with XSLT. The exist applications of xslet are created to run on Web browsers, but I also think to develop applications which runs with server-side or command-base XSLT parser. Those applications will describe simple things in simple forms, and make easy that XML documents will be reused or used for multipurpose.

FW Editor: Can you tell us more about the most important functions available in xslet? Why are so important?
Takayuki Sato: 'xsldo's data operating functions make possible that XML documents have simple logics. This makes easy the integated use of multiple XML documents or giving a role like a light programing language to XML.

FW Editor: What are the advantages of using xslet over any other similar product?
Takayuki Sato: The products of xslet project are create to run with only XSLT engine of Web browsers. So these require no more transformation tools and efforts.

FW Editor: Beside xslet is there any application that had a positive impact over you? Why?
Takayuki Sato: Nothing special.

FW Editor: Is there any special characteristic that makes xslet unique? Can you tell us more about it?
Takayuki Sato: The products of xslet project are created for power users who prefer to work with text editor. Therefore these products are very simple and designed not to have too much functions.

FW Editor: How would you describe xslet?
Takayuki Sato: I describle all codes with vi editor while checking their behaviors mainly on Firefox and IE8.

FW Editor: Now, to end our small interview, is there any message you would like to send to xslet users?
Takayuki Sato: Recently there are less topic about XSLT, so I thought few people had interest about this software. But many people is downloading this software and I am very pleased. I hope this software will be useful for many users.
