FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Constantin Falcoianu: TeamViewer wants to spread out to more users and to help facilitate the connection between persons on different locations.

FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for TeamViewer? What inspired you the most? Do you plan to develop new software, or are you more focused on optimizing the current ones?
Constantin Falcoianu: TeamViewer was born out of the idea to present and troubleshoot distant workstations without the need to be there physically. Meanwhile it can do much more than this. The software was released first time in the year 2005.

FW Editor: TeamViewer is one of the best network databases from the market. What is the secret?
Constantin Falcoianu: TeamViewer pays a lot of attention to fast, secure and hassle-free connections. The free version contains lots of different features which are even not limited for the free private usage.

FW Editor: Can you tell us more about the encryption method used by TeamViewer? Why AES 256?
Constantin Falcoianu: TeamViewer includes full encryption, based on RSA private-/public key exchange and AES (256 Bit) session encoding. This technology is based on the same standards as https/SSL and is considered completely safe by today's standards.

FW Editor: It is possible to create separate accounts for TeamViewer users? For example: manager account with all features enabled and a simple user account with various restrictions.
Constantin Falcoianu: No, TeamViewer does not distinguish between different roles. What can be done though is to limit the functionality (e.g. disable file transfer or VPN) for incoming or outgoing sessions.

FW Editor: What are the advantages of using TeamViewer over any other similar product?
Constantin Falcoianu: TeamViewer is an all in one solution for desktop sharing, remote support, online presentation, home office. Many differnt OS are supported as well like Windows, Mac and Linux. The software connects to any computer around the world within a few seconds.

FW Editor: Let's say that I'm a TeamViewer user. Can anyone view my desktop without permission?
Constantin Falcoianu: No this is not possible. For a connection the ID number and the password are required. The session password changes dynamically after restarting TeamViewer so that this is the permission which is needed to access another desktop.

FW Editor: What is your favorite TeamViewer feature and why?
Constantin Falcoianu: A nice and very practical feature of TeamViewer is the QuickConnect button which appears in every Window when you are logged in the partner list.

FW Editor: Can you tell us more about this feature? Why it is so important? Is TeamViewer the same without it?
Constantin Falcoianu: This button permits to connect even faster to your partners. A perfect tool for rapid presentation and online collaboration. It is not absolutely necessary but practical to have. If you get used to it you don't want to miss it anymore.
