FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Uncork: Extend the Web Cellar capability so that web browser access to wines in your cellar can benefit from some of the features available in the Windows version.

FW Editor: What inspired you the most in creating The Uncorked Cellar?
Uncork: Wanting to know how long any specific wine should be cellared before it would be at its best - and keeping track of my wines between now and then.

FW Editor: The Uncorked Cellar is one of the best cellar management software from the market. What is the thing you love the most in this software?
Uncork: The ease of finding a wine by scanning the barcode on it - then the absolute ease of keeping my inventory up-to-date by scanning the barcode on the wine tag when I uncork any bottle.

FW Editor: What are you planning to change in the future to The Uncorked Cellar?
Uncork: The 2011 version will include improvements to Racks, Reports and Web Cellar access via your browser

FW Editor: The Uncorked Cellar updates twice per year, does a user have to purchase or upgrade The Uncorked Cellar every year?
Uncork: Users do not have to subscribe each year, but most choose to so that they get the most recent wine information and access to their cellar via the web. The 2010 version lists 346,000 wines compared with 209,000 in 2008.

FW Editor: Is a Mac version available?
Uncork: In order to focus on the quality of our software, data and customer service, The Uncorked Cellar is released as a Windows application only. If you install a windows emulator such as Virtual PC, VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop or VirtualBox (free - see www.virtualbox.org) , you can run it on a Mac. We don't have Mac's so we can't provide support for apple or emulator specific issues, but our users have told us that it works fine.

FW Editor: Do you plan to improve The Uncorked Cellar in the future? If yes, what shall we expect from the future versions of The Uncorked Cellar?
Uncork: We provide improvements every year based on suggestions from our customers. The 2011 version will include improvements to Racks, Reports and Web Cellar access via your browser

FW Editor: Do you have any message for The Uncorked Cellar users?
Uncork: Users contribute the existance of wines we do not already list via the menu command "Tools, Add to the Uncork Database". We review all submissions, and request further information from the respective winery then make those wines available to everybody else. All improvement suggestions are noted for possible implementation - with the most common requests given the highest priority.
