FW Editor: What are your plans or objectives in the near future?
Douglas Berdeaux: Invent new methods for wireless network penetration testing, produce more paperwork for a wide range of those interested in the field of wireless hacking, expand physically to have a much larger laboratory.
FW Editor: How and when did you start writing the code for WeakNet Linux? What inspired you the most?
Douglas Berdeaux: About 2007, back then I was working on GunPointe Linux with Micheal Armstrong
FW Editor: Which is the most important feature of WeakNet Linux and why?
Douglas Berdeaux: The Wireless hacking tools. These tools are a great way to create new methods of network penetration testing, as the world around us knows - everything will soon be wireless.
FW Editor: How about your favorite feature? What makes it so special?
Douglas Berdeaux: WEAKERTHAN 2 kernel. This kernel gets rid of a lot of the bloat that comes with most others, including built it broken graphics drivers - that were forced in there in the first place by the guy who invented the linux kernel, which, whimsically, is also the same guy who pouted about linux becoming "bloated". The kernel is just the most integral part of any OS. In this kernel I have also patched a lot of features for Wireless Penetration testing capabilities.
FW Editor: Do you plan to improve or change WeakNet Linux in any way? If yes, how are you going to do that?
Douglas Berdeaux: I am not sure where the future of the OS stands. I am only 1 man. I am limited in hardware for wireless testing, I am limited in time - at all times, and I seem to think the project may remain idle for a while.
FW Editor: How can you describe WeakNet Linux in one single word?
Douglas Berdeaux: Useful.
FW Editor: What are the advantages of using WeakNet Linux over any other Debian based distro?
Douglas Berdeaux: The pre-compiled tools, kernel, and tools in which I have coded - including an instant FaceBook server clone (for PHP/SQL injection), Wireless Hacking tools, and much, much more - All fitting onto ONE (1) CDROM. That - you won't find in many places!
FW Editor: Now, to end our small interview, is there any message you would like to send to WeakNet Linux users?
Douglas Berdeaux: Thank you all for your support. I have answered all of your Email questions in a promptly manner. I would like to thank those who have been around for all the years, and hopefully all the years to come. :-)
