FW Editor: Can you tell us more about the WEBaby Corp history?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: WEBaby Corp. was created in 1999. It has grown out of a Canadian software consulting company, Avalon's Tree Inc., which has been operating successfully on the custom software market. WEBaby Corp. began to create artistic Screensavers. We have created 15 Screensavers in 2001-2002, and they are still popular. Our first major product was Sitecraft – constructor of simple sites. The first version was released in 2002. In 2005 we released Cartmeister, a software for creating business cards and badges. In following years we worked only on Russian market. In 2006 we released Parole – text editor, in 2007 – Cheese Parole – text editor for children, in 2009 – simple bookkeeping software ProstBuh. While working on new developments, we were improving Sitecraft and Cartmeister. In 2009 we released Sitecraft-Studio – the forth version of Sitecraft. After that we made a fresh start on English-language market: we released Sitecraft-Studio, Sitecraft-Newbie, Cartmeister-2.

FW Editor: What inspires you the most when you develop new software?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: Creation of simple programs became rather easy nowadays. But development of the products that will find the market is not an easy job. The main goal for our company is to create a convenient tool for the customer. For this goal we need to pay more attention on psychology than on programming technologies. We introduced the most professional personnel for the development of our software. For example, the research department is led by the professor of psychology. Our company works in close cooperation with special research institute of Market Programming "Homeworld Road". In this institute were developed Smart Interface Technology and BabySteps – the technologies that are used in our software.

FW Editor: What are your plans for the future? Do you intend to improve your existing products or work on some new applications?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: We plan to improve our products and develop new software. We keep updating Sitecraft to make it fit the demands of the market and Internet changes. A year ago we created simple bookkeeping program ProstBuh for Russian market. This program is oriented to small companies. As one using Sitecraft needs no special knowledge for creating sites, so ProstBuh allows keeping records for the director of small business without special bookkeeping knowledge. Now we think about releasing ProstBuh in some European and Asian countries. At the same time we plan to develop some new software in nearest future.

FW Editor: Sitecraft is one of your most popular products. Can you tell us more about it?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: We created Sitecraft in 2002. It was the first constructor in which any person can create a website. Sitecraft was developed for those people who don’t know HTML and who don’t want to waste their life on learning the difficulties of Internet. In Sitecraft we first used Smart Interface Technology and BabySteps - the technologies that lately we will use in other products. During 8 years of our work we’ve released 4 versions of Sitecraft - to improve the program in according with wishes of our customers. To make the full service for our customers we’ve opened hosting department (BabyHost) and created the Design Studio that makes custom sites.

FW Editor: What is the main difference between Sitecraft Studio and Sitecraft Newbie?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: The difference is seen in the names of the products. Sitecraft Newbie was created for the beginners, for those who want to create a site at minimum charge. Together with Sitecraft Newbie customer will get one free location (hosting). So buying a program is the only expense a customer needs to make. But if you want to create a site for your business or if you want to create your web studio and earn money by making sites, then you need Sitecraft Studio. In this version we added professional tools that make creating sites easier and that allow to make site optimization.

FW Editor: Why are your products so popular? What is the secret?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: The main thing is that we create our programs for our customers: so that they will be able to solve their tasks easily. We think a lot about program interface, do psychological testing of our software, try to improve our programs. It seems to be obvious. But you can find a lot of examples, when the developers reach some other goals: like amaze other developers by the coolness and complexity.

FW Editor: Beside your applications of course, is there any other software that you find particular interesting? Why?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: If it is a personal question for me, I’ll answer that this software is role games and real-time strategies. First, I like to play games myself. Secondly, I hope once we will get to the development of the games and use our technologies in games development.

FW Editor: What are the advantages of being a WEBaby Corp customer?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: I think, the main advantage is the humane treatment, friendly support and our readiness for help.

FW Editor: Are you happy with your company evolution? Can WEBaby Corp become even more powerful?
Alexei Nedoria, CEO WEBaby Corp.: Our company has big potential. We made a lot for development technologies? including our own compilers and development tools. And now we’ve just started to receive profit from this. I believe that we have big future.
