FW Editor: What inspired you the most in developing PostworkShop?
Bela Biro: We wish people to discover that there is a whole new world beyond the raw photographs, 3D renders and illustrations they create and use every day. And prove that this world, where simple pictures become works of art, is accessible to everyone.
FW Editor: Without any doubt; PostworkShop is one of the best photo editors from the market. What is the secret?
Bela Biro: As always, the secret is in the people who helped to create PostworkShop: talented programmers who wrote the code behind the effects, open minded artists who created our built-in styles and our users who gave us invaluable feedback.
FW Editor: What are the main differences between PostworkShop Basic, PostworkShop Artist Edition and PostworkShop Pro Edition?
Bela Biro: The Basic allows you to apply the existing artistic effects to your images while with the Artist and Pro versions you can create and save your own artistic styles. The Pro Edition is the ultimate digital art studio offering the ability to create print resolution renders and can handle video or animation frames in batch processing.
FW Editor: Why is PostworkShop better than any other similar product?
Bela Biro: It combines the power and authenticity of the hand written artistic filters with the freedom of building user designed styles in the Style Editor.
FW Editor: PostworkShop requires a lot of system resources. How can you justify that?
Bela Biro: Artistic styles are often very complex constructions. Certain styles can contain 50 or more building blocks, all of them calculating and storing a different version of the original image. If you layer a few of these styles to create your final look, your memory consumption and processor charge can be quite high.
FW Editor: PostworkShop is a features rich application. However, I can assume that one feature is more important for you than others. Can you tell us more about this feature?
Bela Biro: I can play freely with the different styles, settings, blending modes and completely forget how I created a cool look I want to preserve and reuse with other images. The most important feature is the option to save my styles any time, without starting a recording and trying to redo every step.
FW Editor: How do you plan to develop PostworkShop in the future?
Bela Biro: We wish to extend our user range in both directions. Provide an even simpler and more satisfying experience to the occasional users (e.g. amateur photographers) and give a compatible, dependable and powerful tool to the professional users (e.g. graphic designers).
