The QuickRename application was designed to rename various amounts of files in one step. Automatic numbering, adding of short descriptions, keeping of the files original name or combinations of this are possible.
For safety reasons each time you rename files a new directory named quickren (followed by the current time) will be created to store the original files.
Using QuickRename is simple: Change the directory using the drive- and directory-lists, use - if neccessary - the FILTER textbox to mask files shown in the filelist (for example: enter *.htm to show only HTML files), enter a renaming instruction and click the "Start" button. Thats all.
