FamousWhy Editor: Tile Pile is a fun and innovative puzzle game with an arcade component. The idea behind Tile Pile is relatively simple: you can move around (left, right, up and down using keyboard directional keys) and you must gather ALL tiles. However, you must do that following a certain path as, to move from one tile to another, these two tiles must be connected somehow. You cannot move through empty spaces.
Tile Pile has more than 150 different levels. As you may expect, the difficulty level increases as you progress through game. If the first level is extremely easy (my first reaction was: "Are you kidding? This is a game for 3 years old kids"), you will soon realize that in fact, Tile Pile is a complex puzzle game.
Tile Pile is available for both single player mode and multiplayer mode. The single player mode contains two modes as well: normal and challenge. In normal you need to complete one level at a time and advance through game up to the last level. Challenge mode is unlocked only after you completed at least 30 levels in normal mode.
The multiplayer mode contains several alternative modes as well. First, the user can choose between Cooperative (both players can play in the same time) and Versus (one player against other). Cooperative mode is similar with single player mode; the only difference is that instead of one player, two players can play from the same keyboard. Versus is a bit different. Both players can choose to play in the same time or they can select to play one at a time.
Tile Pile also comes with a level editor (available only after you completed at least 90 levels in normal mode). The level editor allows you to create your own levels and play them alone or with your friends.
As I have said above, Tile Pile is not easy, not by far. Personally I was able to complete (from the first try) only the first 10 levels. After that, multiple attempts were necessarily in order to progress up to level 40. From there, well, Tile Pile is a true nightmare and it require skill, concentration and a lot of patience (it is just perfect for puzzle fanatics).
