FamousWhy Editor: VocaTalk is a complex but user-friendly application that can generate personal podcasts that sound like an audio documentary with sound effects and music in the background.
The VocaTalk developers consider that hearing is more natural than reading, so they have created new ways of reaching information and learning. If you use VocaTalk you don't need to create time for reading anymore; you can do different activities while you are listening. VocaTalk has many unique features like support for multiple voices for the same text, positional audio, background music and lots of other characteristics that will keep you from getting bored. You no longer have to choose between listening music and listening/reading text. VocaTalk gives you both at the same time.
It uses podcasting technology for you to always have unlistened episodes on your iPod or Zune; it saves your progress and it resumes it from where you left. You can just queue episodes and generate them later.
If the content you create is too large, VocaTalk will automatically split it into episodes of 50-60 minutes. VocaTalk uses text-to-speech (TTS) technology to read the text aloud and digital signal processing (DSP) technology to massage the generated speech.
You are probably wondering how it sounds like? It sounds exactly how you want it to be. You just insert the content and choose the music and the effects. VocaTalk will read the text as it plays the music in the background. It will use all available voices installed on your system randomly so you don't get bored by listening to the same voice.
You must know that VocaTalk doesn't come with any voice installed, but all new Windows versions (Windows Vista/Windows 7) include a default voice (Microsoft Anna) for free. There are lots of different effects that you can turn on and off. For example positional audio effect moves the sound position of the speakers smoothly and changes depth, echo and pitch of the sound.
VocaTalk supports binaural beats and crossfeed modulation to improve focus and learning, or relaxation. Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli.
Requirements: Windows Vista or Windows 7.
